Growing up in Burlington, Vermont, I collected travel magazines but somehow always found myself saying "maybe next time" to adventure. College, career, two daughters, and my wanderlust kept getting pushed to the bottom of the list.
Then everything shifted. When my father passed away, I discovered he'd made over thirty trips to Italy. Thirty! And I'd never joined him for a single one. Standing there with my own daughters, it hit me - the most precious inheritance isn't what fits in a jewelry box, it's the memories we create together.
That revelation gave birth to Rising Tide Travel in 2019.
Here's what I know now - luxury isn't thread count or Michelin stars. It's having someone who genuinely cares about creating those pinch me moments that become your family's most treasured stories.
