Growing up in the picture-perfect hills of Burlington, Vermont, I was that kid who collected travel magazines but somehow always found myself saying "maybe next time" to adventure. College called, then career, then two beautiful daughters—and suddenly, my wanderlust kept getting nudged to the bottom of the list.
Then everything shifted. When my father—a brilliant entrepreneur with an infectious passion for exploration—passed away, I discovered he'd made over thirty trips to Italy. Thirty! And I'd never joined him for a single one. Standing there with my own daughters, it hit me like a revelation: the most precious inheritance isn't what fits in a jewelry box, it's the memories we create together.
That lightbulb moment gave birth to Rising Tide Travel. Because here's what I learned the hard way—material things come and go, but that feeling when you watch your daughter taste gelato in Rome for the first time? That laugh echoing through a Tuscan vineyard? Those moments don't just stay with you—they become part of your family's story forever.
I get it: there are plenty of travel advisors out there promising the world. But Rising Tide Travel isn't just about booking exquisite trips (though we absolutely excel at that). A seasoned traveler with experience living on both sides of ‘the pond’ and a passion for storytelling through imagery, Caroline explored some of the world’s most iconic cities, including London, Paris, and Rome, as well as the bustling streets of New York and the historic charm of Boston. But it’s in the quieter corners of the world, like rural Vermont or the English Countryside, where she finds a deeper connection to the landscapes and people that inspire her work.
